Ulian

Paolo Ulian (b. 1961, Massa-Carrara, Italy) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Carrara and graduated in Industrial Design in Florence.

Early in his career, he received international recognition with awards such as “Design for Europe in Belgium” (1990), the first edition of the “Design Report” Award (2000), and the “Dedalus” Prize. He has also participated in major design events, including the Salone del Mobile in Milan.

Ulian worked with Enzo Mari between 1990 and 1992 before returning to Tuscany, where he founded a studio with his brother Giuseppe. He has collaborated with important Italian brands such as FontanaArte and others.

Deeply connected to Brazilian culture, Ulian created the “Row Bench” exclusively for A Lot of Brasil — an interactive steel design sculpture.
